Overclocking:
We overclocked all five GeForce 7950 GX2's using NVIDIA's coolbits registry hack. Due to the large sample, we should be able to establish how well the GeForce 7950 GX2 overclocks on the stock cooling solution. However, please bear in mind that your own mileage may vary, as we cannot guarantee that manufacturers aren't sending us samples that overclock particularly well.
ASUS EN7950GX2:
The ASUS card overclocked from its default 500/1200MHz to an impressive 606/1568MHz - that's a 21% increase in core speed and a 30% increase in memory frequency.
BFG Tech GeForce 7950 GX2:
The BFG Tech GeForce 7950 GX2 didn't overclock quite as well as the ASUS - we managed to get the card stable at 603/1544MHz.
Leadtek WinFast PX7950 GX2 TDH:
Leadtek's WinFast PX7950 GX2 TDH was the worst overclocker of the bunch - we were only able to get the card stable running at 584/1552MHz. Having said that, the core clock speed increase was almost 17% and the memory clock increased by over 29%.
MSI NX7950GX2-T2D1GE:
The MSI GeForce 7950 GX2 overclocked pretty well - it was the highest clocker of the reference-clocked cards. We were able to increase the core frequency by 21% to 607MHz and the memory frequency to 1572MHz - an increase of 31%.
XFX GeForce 7950 GX2 570M XXX Edition:
The XFX GeForce 7950 GX2 570M XXX Edition was the highest clocker of the bunch. However, the 570M XXX Edition has a higher default clock frequency. We were able to overclock the card from 570/1550MHz to 607/1680MHz - that was an increase of 6% on the core and 8% on the memory.
